Surface Finishing

Surface Finishing

Type II/III anodize, nickel/chrome plating, powder coat, bead blast, and passivation — applied in the same project so parts arrive ready to assemble.

Why Teams Finish Parts With Us

Sending machined parts to a separate finisher means lost accountability when color drifts or plating fails adhesion. We finish parts we make — or process your parts with documented specs and batch traceability.

1

Spec-Driven Processing

Finish callouts from your drawing — anodize type, plating thickness, powder coat RAL code — become controlled process parameters, not guesswork.

2

Integrated With Manufacturing

Parts move from CNC, sheet metal, or die casting directly to finishing — no extra freight, fewer handling marks, and one QC trail.

3

Documented Quality

Coating thickness reports, adhesion test results, and salt-spray certificates available for regulated or outdoor applications.

Surface Finishing Capabilities

Cosmetic, protective, and functional finishes for aluminum, steel, stainless, zinc, and die-cast parts.

Anodizing Type II / III

Decorative and hard anodize on aluminum alloys. Clear, black, and color anodize with RAL matching. Type III hard coat to 50 μm for wear resistance.

Plating (Nickel / Chrome / Zinc)

Electroless and electrolytic nickel, decorative chrome, and zinc plating with clear, yellow, or black chromate. Specified thickness per your drawing.

Powder Coating

Epoxy and polyester powder coat in RAL, Pantone, or custom colors. Textured and matte finishes for consumer products and outdoor hardware.

Bead Blast & Passivation

Uniform matte bead blast on aluminum and stainless. Citric and nitric acid passivation per ASTM A967 for corrosion-resistant medical and food-grade parts.

Substrates & Finish Pairings

Not every finish works on every material. We match process to substrate and advise on masking, thread protection, and critical dimension allowances.

Aluminum

  • ? Type II / III anodize
  • ? Bead blast + clear anodize
  • ? Chromate conversion (Alodine)

Steel & Stainless

  • ? Zinc / nickel / chrome plating
  • ? Powder coat over phosphate
  • ? Passivation (304/316 SS)

Industries We Finish For

Finishes where appearance, corrosion resistance, or biocompatibility are part of the product specification.

Cosmetic Consumer Parts

Product housings, bezels, and visible hardware with uniform color, texture, and scratch-resistant anodize or powder coat.

Corrosion-Resistant Outdoor Hardware

Marine, architectural, and outdoor equipment parts with salt-spray-rated plating and UV-stable powder coat systems.

Medical Instrument Finishes

Passivated stainless, low-outgassing anodize, and documented process control for instruments and surgical tool components.

Common Questions

Can you match a RAL or Pantone color exactly? +

Yes. We run color panels for your approval before production. Typical color match is ΔE < 1.5. Send a RAL code, Pantone reference, or physical sample.

Do you finish parts made by other suppliers? +

Yes, we accept customer-supplied parts for finishing-only orders. Parts must arrive clean and free of oils. We'll inspect substrate suitability before processing.

How do you protect threads and critical surfaces during coating? +

Threads are masked or plugged, and critical bores are protected per your drawing. Dimension allowances for anodize buildup are noted in our DFM if we machine the parts.

What quality documentation is available? +

Coating thickness measurements, adhesion test results, and salt-spray test certificates on request. Batch traceability links finish lots to incoming part lots.
